When I’m naked, usually I am in the shower singing to the latest hip hop tunes. But for ladies that work for “body sushi” restaurants, getting naked and lying on a table is part of the job description.

Known as Nyotaimori in Japanese, this is a form of “body sushi.” Not surprisingly, a few rules must apply for the female workers.

training. Don’t be fooled, the female workers train to be still for hours.
grooming. For sanitation purpose, workers must shave all pubic hair.
smell.Workers wash themselves in a fragrance free soup to prepare for the role as human platter.

For aspiring restauranteurs, check with the country legal system and health code. Some countries do not allow this practice.

From a business perspective, this is clearly a restaurant that will gain strong word of mouth advertising. After all, it is a one in a life time experience and will make you the talk at the office water cooler or college campus.

FYI, currently there are no “body sushi” restaurant franchise in the United States.
