Thanks to our stellar content contributor Steve Jang, Kogi BBQ has arrived. Known as the “Korean Taco Truck”, the fast blazing food cart serves Korean BBQ Sliders and Korean Beef Taco among other things.
Why didn’t I think about that?
Makes sense. A tortilla perfectly holds the savory Korean BBQ beef.

In this economy, this is a smart move. Instead of spending a few hundred thousand dollars starting a restaurant, a taco truck allows the chef to
- get immediate taste feedback
- serve food with out high overhead (restaurant, large staff, insurance)
- build a community with dedicated food followers
- cater to the after club or party scene
For those in the Bay Area, Anthony Myint’s started his food flare from a taco truck as well.
