Campusfork arrives in Hong Kong: bad airplane food on United Airlines

Traveling can be so exhausting, luckily I ran into comic Tracy Morgan from 30 Rock at San Francisco airport.

On my stale fourteen hour flight to Hong Kong aboard United Airlines, airplane food was the only thing I looked forward to. My first meal was a meatloaf with rubbery texture and nominal mash potatoes. The salad lacked character, since lettuce was the only ingredient.

For the snack course, I was served instant noodle. But upon arrival, I managed to have one good meal. The turkey cheese sandwich made a good comfort food meal. Crispy bread incased melted cheese.

My last trip to Asia a few years ago, I flew Japan Airlines. The service and food was on par. As a food writer, I notice everything.
