Ebeneezer’s: Great lamb kabob in Wan Chai Hong Kong

After a day hike, I was craving some meat.

I ended up trying Ebeneezer’s, located in seedy Wan Chai red light district. The chain restaurant has many location throughout the island.

The lamb kebab ($~7USD) was on the mark. Marinated with savory herbs, the lamb meat was tender and paired well with crunchy vegetable medley wrapped in crispy pita bread. This is my version of the middle Eastern burrito.

Served on a black plastic to go dish, the deep orange red hues from the curry seaped into the pillowy rice. Tender white fish was a delight. Although I wished that the curry had some vegetables, the sauce delivered a flavorful savory sweet combination that excited my palate.

The house sauce added character and plenty of flavor.
Their menu also includes pizzas, curries, and salad.
