I hesitate when I hear “all you can eat sushi.”
First, I think about the quality of the raw fish and the selection.
All you can eat sushi is really about letting your buckle loose and just simply entering gluttony. The price is set, so relax and eat up.
Located in trendy Lan Kwai Fong Central district, the restaurant is located on the seventh floor of a commercial building. Entering through a slim corridor, I have arrived.
For around $22 dollars USD, the all you can eat restaurant has only one constraint, time. Our road to gluttony land can only last from 6pm-8pm. With out any hesitation, we started to order.
The sushi combination (tuna, salmon, sweet shrimp, mackerel, octopus) was on par. Each selection featured sea-sweat meat. Noticeably, evenly cut slice of fish displayed knives skills. Just to the left, young sushi chefs were busy filling order.
With an aromatic char grilled flavor, the cow tongue with chewy texture was a great starter. Stealing the show, the milky tofu seafood soup was amazing. With a silky texture, this comfort food soup warped stirred the appetite.
With seared grill marks, the beef pieces were tasty but not a stand out. Baked mussels stuffed with a seafood stuffing is a savory winner. Avoid the grilled shrimp with lacked flavor.
With shrimp tails pointing toward the ceiling, the tempura combination hit the mark. One bite, the crispy batter shattered. With a piping hot sea sweet meat, the panko crusted oyster was another great starter.
Charmingly shaped into a cone, the soft shell crab hand roll was a winner. Another dish that missed the mark was the crab salad. With heavy mayo, fake crab meat and fish roe just was too heavy. The over sweetened teriyaki soup was also a miss.
With perfectly vinegar rice, the nigiri sushi displayed a great range of flavors. Starting with fish on a lighter note, the kapachi had buttery sweet tones. Seared lightly, scorched shrimp was all about temperature contrast. Crunchy squid nigiri with tentacles flaring out is also a great order.
For dessert, each patron was given a mochi ice cream. A fun meal definitely worth trying again.
