Simply Life Café and Bakery

It is hard to find good bread in Hong Kong. I am not talking about those spongy doughy ones found in most bakeries. What I had in mind are artisan breads that have a chewy texture on the inside while crispy nutty tones make up the crust.
After a work out at Pure Fit in IFC in Central district, I stumbled across Simply Life. With a modern interior, the open kitchen invites the diner.
A myriad of artisan breads are available along with salad options. This was as close I would get to Californian food.
With charming grilled marks, my parma ham and cheese sandwich did the trick. The entire sandwich had nutty notes from the crispy bread and aged cheese. The savory tones from the parma ham added a delicious flavor.
Pepper sprinkled over chips made a great addition.
The earth tones from grilled mushrooms and tender chicken made up my second sandwich. While eating my sandwich, the view of the Hong Kong harbor made the meal very worthwhile.
This meal reminded me the goodness of having quality ingredients.
