On a sunny afternoon, Pagan delivers a great meal. Burmese food may have similar characteristics to Thai food, but they are completely different.
Thai flavors encompass sweet, spicy and sour while Burmese flavors are more subtle.

Take the Burmese papaya salad that was included in the lunch special (~$10), the crunchy papaya are layered with a spicy and slightly sour sauce but not so much the sweet note.

The beef curry is all about featuring spices that go so well with pillowy rice.

I enjoyed the spacious restaurant which was kept very clean and the service was on par.

If you’re someone that likes intense flavor, Pagan is a great choice.
