Before I entered Java Beach at the Zoo, I expected beach dudes and Baywatch Pamela Andersen look a likes sipping coffee.
“Whatsup dude! Surf’s Up!” I was wrong. But I did find a great hidden gem.
A few things make up a superb café experience and Java Beach at the Zoo hits all these marks.
Starting with the food, the turkey sandwich is on par. The fresh bread that was slightly over toasted is accompanied by fresh ingredients and crunchy potato chips. They also serve soft serve, beer on tap, wine, and a list of creative sandwiches.
The service is friendly and the ambiance is just simply cozy. Warm wood panels surround the interior making it a prime spot to surf the extra fast internet and work while the sounds of ocean waves are just a few blocks away.
If you’re going to Java Beach at the Zoo to do some work, avoid the lunch and dinner crowds. With just about eight tables, it can get crowded.
Try their featured salads and sandwiches, their attention to presentation makes the café food on par.
