Immediately walking into Jenny’s Burger, owner Jenny Li instantly greets you with a big smile. With a well decorated diner décor and superb food, this is my top pick for budget burger in San Francisco. For just around $4, the cheese burger is a winner.
The beef patty is cooked on a rotating grill resulting in a moist juicy patty and the all you can eat condiment bar gives the diner full control of flavor tones. The bitter tones from olives and tangy pickles are my favorites.
Crispy onion rings and thick cut French fries are good as well.
Another reason why I come to Jenny’s Burger is to chat with restaurateur Jenny. They is something charming about going into a mom and pop restaurant and having the owner recognize you. As an immigrant from South Korea, she learned English from her customers at her previous restaurant. She is consistently cheerful and keeps the restaurant very clean.
Jenny Li asked me how she could improve business. I suggested, a “kimchi burger.” Would you guys give that a try?
