Carnegie Deli: Best Restaurant to fill your Pastrami Craving in New York City
Carnegie Deli goes head to head with Katz Deli in the pastrami category.
When the giant pastrami sandwich arrives, only two pieces of bread comes between thick towering piles of pastrami.
I was able to only finish half of my order. Refreshing pickles add a crunchy element.
With walls decorated with celebrity photos, the dining room leaves little elbow room for dining comfort as patrons are seated literally next to other customers.
Waiters are dressed in charming vest but the service was abrupt and rather rushed.
Compared to Katz Deli, Carnegie Deli is just very nominal.
Katz Deli serves their pastrami with a soft rye and the meat is tenderer.
Service at Katz Deli and more spacious dining tables makes me never want to return to Carnegie Deli.
Expect to spend around $25 for an over the top corn beef sandwich.
