Yesterday, I was invited to watch a free private Ubisoft screening of Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs in downtown San Francisco.

I had a great time. Free popcorn and soda just topped things off.

Watching the film in 3D heightened my hunger senses. The animated movie featured food products such as pizza and hamburger raining from the sky.

I would choose to have sushi fall from the sky.

Aside from having great graphics, the story line is touching and I can see how many people can relate to Flint, the main character. His goal is to try to prove to his father and the world that he has importance.

Overall, great movie especially if you want to bring kids.

Carl’s Jr. commercials are usually entertaining and often funny.

Simply a gross parody of the fast food restaurant.

Poaching an eggs is all about technique. Gently pouring a cracked egg into boiling water is key. I do not like putting the egg in iced water since this brings down the temperature of the egg.

As I blog, my mouth is watering from this recipe. Gordon Ramsey demonstrates how cooking salmon can be easy. I want to try the potato crab meat.

Technique is key in cooking. Gordon Ramsey demonstrates how to make fluffy eggs. I like that the hot tempered chef explains why he uses certain technique.

Gosh! Gordon Ramsey makes it seem so easy. The plate presentation is gorgeous since the peppers are blended.

Star anise, known to be used in Vietnamese Pho, can usually be found at local Asian super markets.

Burger King has done it again, producing controversial commercials featuring Sponge Bob.

A recent Adage article highlights the reason behind American Family Association’s anger against the commercials, claiming that the Burger King commercials contain adult nudity.

The commercials were produced by ad agency Crispin + Porter & Bogusky who have been known to produce entertaining commercials.

Any readers think that the commercials are offensive?

My take.

McDonald’s has been able to increase market share in China by focusing on commercials that emphasize family and restaurant experience. While controversy creates buzz, this will not translate to global growth especially in more conservative climates such as Asia.

The future for fast food companies are unchartered territories such as China. I would advise Burger King to be cautious about maintaining their global brand.

After all, YouTube has become a video distributor. Potential franchisees in China can easily gain access to Burger King articles that have angered the American Family Association. My advice to the king, “lets tone it down, just a little.”

Bravo TV will be launching a new show featuring master chefs. The show will be hosted by former Ford model Kelly Choi.

The five foot ten long legged host has been covering New York restaurants in her show Eat Out New York the past few years.

Master Chef is scheduled to air in the summer.

Previous Bravo TV shows such as Top Chef has gained popularity. Top Chef host Padma Lakshmi recently was featured in a Carl’s Jr. commercial.

Padma Lakshmi is a model, a food writer, judge for reality TV show Top Chef, and now Carl’s Jr. sexy model for their new hamburger campaign.

With so many food commercials on television, it is no wonder why ad agencies must produce something featuring a sexy model or simply just something very funny.

With her glowing brown skin and healthy looking body, I think that casting her with a chicken salad would have made a better commercial.

Padma Lakshmi has been known to be a vegetarian, but I guess not anymore.

I like eating foods with creamy textures such as butter, but I want to eat health. Avocado half is an easy way to prepare avocado.
